Cult of the Lamb

Game to chill out

The game has really nice artwork in general, which is probably one of its most appealing elements. The cult theme is nicely developed, covering different styles and aspects of cults and religious beliefs, although mostly implicitly. The mechanics of the game are interesting, changing from adventure scenarios to a resource administration scheme. This double mechanic is interesting, and it feels nice to "rest" from some dynamics, choosing one or the other. The game can be a bit monotonous once achieved certain level is achieved, as mechanics don't vary too much throughout the game. There are too many upgrades that, up to some point, seem meaningless, or they don't change the game experience. They feel like distractors. Also, I think that the lack of a better upgrade interface also makes it difficult to navigate those menus. Besides that, it is a nice game that can be played lightly and sporadically without much trouble. The storytelling is not complex, and the required actions to advance in the game are straightforward.
