Cyberpunk 2077

The game is superb

I have played the game for nearly 20 hours and I am probably a quarter or a third into the story. I think this is one of the best games I have ever played and the last time I felt that was while I was playing the Witcher 3. My main points; 1. The gameplay is very enjoyable and diverse and it is a really original take on the RPG genre. The levelling system allows you to improve your performance in combat very directly (e.g. feats can let you reload and draw a gun more quickly) and it is very diverse. I love that you can completely go stealth or go guns blazing or hack your way through or any combination in between. 2. I believe the game has overwhelming amount of content and night city is a very immersive environment. The level of detail is ridiculous at times. 3. I enjoy the story so far and I believe there are a lot of things that make it very relatable to any person out there. This is not the case for many other games where you just play the unbeatable hero (like Geralt btw). I remember playing Witcher 3 and sometimes would skip a ton of dialogue only because I wanted to see how the story unfolds, but also because I felt I cannot relate to a lot of the stuff. The world of Cyberpunk is very close to ours in many ways and I like the focus on societal issues our world is struggling with. 4. Graphics, sound and music are amazing. Overall, this is a superb gaming experience. I believe it lives up to the expectations and the hype. Big ups to the CDPR team. Disclaimers: I play on PC with mid/high specs and I have not run into almost any issues, a lot of people have been complaining about. The only thing I struggled with is some sound issues, which I managed to easily fix, but they mostly relate to the fact that I use an external audio interface.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The best game I have ever played

The best game I have ever played really. I started playing games a while back with the first Prince of Persia and the first Mortal Kombat in the 90s and I have seen a lot - basically the whole evolution of PC (and console) gaming. Needless to say that the technical aspects like graphics, music and sound FX are top notch - one of the most immersive you can find out there now. However, the game also has a great depth to its story, with many different outcomes of events which might be only tiring if you do not really have time to play, meaning you are an adult LOL. Which is my only regret. I wish this game came out when I was 14-15, when I had a lot more time to just sit and play. Anyhow, it was one of the most well spent 50 bucks in my life.
