Silent Hill 4: The Room

The best in the series!

I've played a lot of Silent Hill games. The Room shines. But the controls, especially movements, in this version are just meh because they occasionally get glitchy. My main critique is the item holding and management; the player can only hold ten of one thing and must store everything elsein a box in Henry's apartment. Finding the correct possessed item to progress can be frustrating and time consuming. Otherwise almost everything is executed awesomely (graphics and sounds during gameplay) and there are nods to previous games in the series (to those that notice). As mentioned in other reviews this version has cutscenes where the audio and visuals are unsynced. At least that was my experience and that's not good. At first I had a hard time thinking how the designers would make an entire game based around being in a small apartment, but the gameplay just works! The player will see how intense things can get when trying to protect EIleen throughout the adventure, it's fun...

Lure of the Temptress (1992)

Can't talk to the dragon

OK so after using the potion I select the option "talk to" dragon, and nothing happens. Even though Lure of the Temptress was free, the game is glitched. I can't progress further because of said glitch. Any way, LotT has a lot of moon logic to it SMH.

qomp

Fun for a few minutes...

The start where a player helps the block escape the paddles gave me a nice laugh. But after the tenth or so stage it seems like the designers ran out of ideas. Then the game turns into just more spikes to avoid, more buttons to hit and more snake trailing to trace... Good idea, a mediocre execution.
