Blood West

Oldschool stealth

Clunky it may be but satisfies the oldschool stealth itch.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

Excellent tactics game.

An outstanding Commandos-like tactics game which I completed in ca. 25 hours. Important for working dad's: great chunk play value as game supports quicksaves. I would love having some 5 more missions as the replay value is not really that great, but the missions themselves are varied in visual style, mission goals and mechanics which is absolutely great. The gameplay price value is excellent mind you, I just want more missions because I really liked the game itself. A small caveat is the lack of some technical polishing - the game itself works fine and looks stunning constantly, but little quirks annoy sometimes like when the game struggles to find "where can I drop this body off a cliff" trigger points. Verdict: if you played a single level of Commandos or Desperados games and it felt good - this is the game for you, do not hesitate.

Mafia III: Definitive Edition

Dad with no time finished it? It's good!

Enjoyed the story for what it is, enjoyed the stealthy bits, unexpectedly enjoyed the driving parts. Gunplay wasn't really that good from my point of view, but I tried to minimize that and for the most part it works. A bit too much of driving around even if it's fun. Things get a bit repetitive for a while, but I went with it and it wasn't that bad in the end. I liked it and I finished it and that's saying something from a person who doesn't really have much time.

The Saboteur™

I'm a dad with no time; still completed.

Sandbox of a city open for exploration, liberation, generally blowing stuff up and even stealth segments. What's not to like? Completionists get enough of Ubisoft-Tickers on the map. The story takes itself way too seriously, but the protagonist is Irish enough about the whole thing to care - which let me identify with him perfectly. The only dated part about this game for me was the climbing feature - especially after expiriencing Assassins Creed.
