Absolver

One of the best adventure fighting game

Absolver offers a unique martial arts experience with a deep, customizable combat system that lets you create your own fighting style. The action is engaging, and the visuals and sound design are excellent, creating an immersive atmosphere. However, enemy encounters are sparse, making the world feel a bit empty at times. The game can also be quite difficult, with controls that occasionally feel clunky. Despite this, Absolver stands out as a creative and rewarding experience for fans of challenging, strategic combat.

Devil May Cry HD Collection

A Legendary Start to Stylish Action

Devil May Cry HD Collection is a nostalgic blast from the past, showcasing the roots of the stylish action genre. As a remaster of the original trilogy, it still holds up in many ways—especially in its fast-paced, satisfying combat and iconic gothic atmosphere. While the controls can feel dated (with no dedicated dodge button and somewhat clunky movement), the core gameplay remains exhilarating. The story, particularly in the first and third entries, delivers a strong supernatural narrative with memorable characters and over-the-top flair. Despite its aging graphics and lack of modern refinements, the collection is a testament to how influential and one-of-a-kind the Devil May Cry series truly is. A must-play for fans of action games and gaming history alike.

Vagrus - The Riven Realms

Trading Caravan Simulator?

Its more an management-RPG game than your typical RPG game. There is a story there and somewhat an alignment system, but it is pretty hidden. Its really text heavy - but pretty engaging, intriguing and interesting.

A Fistful of Gun

Not so Western

A fistful of gun is a single or co-op top down shooter with a unique gimmick in which every character has their own shooting method. Some characters has a typical mouse-keyboard controls (mouse to aim, left click to shoot, right click for various things), some has directional controls (WSAD and IJKL or shift and control). Although it says a gamepad is required, there are alternate controls in all of the characters, so you can get away with just playing with a keyboard and mouse. There are several game modes to play, Arena, Story and Versus. My disclaimer: I only played single player - I have not ever experienced the co-op. Overall, it was a bit mediocre. Each character plays differently and is imbalanced (purposely?) by its control methods and its unique characteristics. For instance, if you play Billy, you can only shoot if you follow the pattern given in the gun indicator (i.e, you alternate between IJKL to shoot), while in other characters you just click the left mouse button. Likewise, you can aim with the mouse in some characters, but on others, you have to face the target. Also, most characters is a one hit one kill system, but one character you play as a brigade, so you can take multiple hits in exchange to firepower. What I did not like, unfortunately, was the music. Not that it wasn't good (as taste is subjective, personally I didn't particularly like it), it just wasn't western. I was expecting some music that made me feel like I was in, well, the lawless western. It didn't. Overall, I think this is a game where you would just play it in small periods. Play - shoot some dudes - do your chores - shoot more dudes - swipe the floor, etc.

Unreal Tournament 2004 Editor's Choice Edition

Good Unreal Tournament, better with mods

I played the UT 99 way back when, and since I've now lost my copy, I bought this one instead. I keep wondering which is better. Sure, UT 2004 ECE has better graphics, more gameplay modes, and more mutators, but somehow it didn't feel as nice. Its still good, but I felt I had more fun with UT 99. I then installed the "Ballistic weapons" mod, and boy oh boy.. the sheer number of guns in that mod made it a whole new experience. If you like a fast-paced first person shooter and unique, futuristic weapons, I would recommend this game. If you want that experience plus more explosions, gore, and automatic weapons rat-atat-tat, I would say this game and throw in the Ballistic Weapon Mutator.
