Classics are classic for a reason. You can certainly nit pick, but there is a reason why people still play this 25-year-old game. Gameplay is great. Replayablity is great. It's got a short learning curve. My highest recommendation.
The cutting edge at the time, but it still works as a beer and peanuts game now. Graphics and interface are dated now, but the core gameplay is excellent. Very deep gameplay with varied ways to play. An excelent on-ramp to space strategy gaming because this game literally IS the on ramp to the genre.
