S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Big disappointment!

Enhanced HA! Graphics are not any better than the original game, in fact they are blurry. Parts of the game have been edited out...if you happen to not like dying every single time that there's a confrontation don't count on the console to save the day as the g_god on code doesn't work. I can't complain as I owned the original game so thankfully I got this hot mess for free. Now to uninstall this crap & reinstall the original one! BIG sigh of relief that I didn't waste my money buying this!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition

Non Fanboy Review

To be honest I wasn't all that impressed with Skyrim. I played the original game for hours struggling not be bored enough with the repetitive dungeons, poor story line and general blandness of the game so as not to just quit playing. Short story is that I finally just dressed it up with some mods to in order to breath some life into it. My advice would be, if you own the original game, to Mod it and just hard pass on this BS. If you've never played Skyrim and have a desperate need to form your own opinion, then dive in and purchase this now while it's on sale. By the way I'm pretty sure that this review will most likely end up hidden in the last pages with the rest of the honest reviews. Hint...if you want to know what people really think of any game on GOG click on the last page, as the first ones will mostly always be five stars hmmm???

Played Back when it first came out ugh!

This game is so wonky I found it unplayable...will make you want to throw your computer out of the nearest window...I'm not kidding! I remember reading all of the hype about what this game was going to be when it was released, and anxiously waiting for a chance to experience the thrills...RIGHT...then I got the game and to tell you the truth...to this day I consider this game to be one of my absolute biggest disappointments ever in gaming! Even if GOG was giving this game away free it would be abusive to it's subscribers...why they are even offering something like this is beyond me...seriously...it makes them look like they don't care what kind of crap they offer us as long as we'll suck for it...sorry but it's true!

Shadow Man Remastered

Good game but I have a question?

I already own the original N-64 game & since I also already purchased the PC version of Shadow Man when it came out here on GOG...I think that I should be entitled to an updated version of the game cost free. It's a good game for it's time but not special enough to want to buy it for a third time just for mostly visual enhancements. The original PC version from GOG ran just fine the way it was so why I should I have to purchase this game again GOG??? I like the game but just not enough to buy it one more time!

Dukett Nukem

Good game if you want to experience the old days of Duke Nukem as a female and you don't mind that every opponent looks and sounds exactly the same. This was obviously built on the same engine that run the original Duke and Doom games...looks like crap, but fun for the nostalgia club I guess? Bold of them to offer a demo but I'm glad that they did as now I don't have to waste GOG's time asking for a refund...time to uninstall the demo and forget about it:)

Diablo + Hellfire

Still Fun After All These Years:)

Yes Diablo is still fun to play...although I didn't buy it here because I already had the game on CD. I also installed the Diablo 1 HD Mod beelzebub that allows the game to run in modern resolutions and adds content to the game too. So I'd say if you really want to buy this game wait until it's on sale for about half of what it's selling for now or if you have the game already and it won't run and looks like crap download the Diable HD Mod and you'll love it.

Hob

Wonderful Change in Gaming

This game is a wonderful creation. Hats off to Runic. I so wish that more programmers would get away from zombies and blowing things up to artful creative thinking games like Hob. Wasn't sure what I would feel about this game prior to purchasing it but I love it! The only tiny minor complaint I have is a few times it would have been nice to have the opportunity to look around the environment using the second joy stick. Some may be put off by finding what is needed to advance in the game, which can be very frustrating at times, but once discovered it can also be very rewarding. The way Hob's world unfolds is ingenious and left me wondering how long it took Runic to map this game out so that it would work as seamlessly as it does? Please keep games like this one coming Runic...kudos to your team:)

Jazz Jackrabbit Collection

Great fun

Both of the Jazz Jackrabbit games are great fun but why on earth is GOG charging so much for these? I legally downloaded Jazz 1&2 years ago for free and when I saw them being offered here I went to check and with a bit of searching they are still being offered for free. Come on GOG you probably got these for free too and there's no need to be so greedy about it:)

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY Edition

Good Thing for MODS:)

Word... I bought this game on disc quite a few years back & could never totally get into it, due to the many issues, such as horrible combat, lack luster drab boring atmosphere and graphics, boring ugly NPCs and many game breaking bugs. Its always amazed me to read all of the slobbering positive game reviews about Morrowind being so great...a Masterpiece, yeah right! Anyway I was bored the other night and started thinking about whether or not Morrowind could be fixed, so I began checking out all of the Morrowind MODs, both on Nexus and ModDB and thought, "gee I wonder if these would actually fix some or most of the issues that made this game less than enjoyable?" Short answer is yes they helped a lot. The community bug patch, Morrowind rebirth, better bodies, better faces, better dialog, better textures, better hit boxes during combat...a worm no longer kills you...and you can actually hit them on the first try WOW! All of these improvements went a long ways toward making the game more fun and and enjoyable for me to play. But, even so, despite what others may say, in my opinion anyway, it's still nowhere near the best or most enjoyable game ever created. Wait until it's on sale for around 5 bucks or less and then you won't be kicking yourself too hard for wasting 15 bucks just to try it out for yourself. Also sales are nice if you just want a digital copy of the game.

Meh

Stick with Grim Dawn or The Incredible adventures of Van Helsing and buy this only if there's a deep routed need to satisfy your curiosity about whether or not the negative reviews or the positives have it, without going over the same grounds that others have voiced, I lean towards the negative and I'd recommending buying it only on a DEEP sale price...that way you won't have to feel too bad about having wasted your money:) I personally played it for about an hour and was bored enough to shut it off and don't know if I'll try again or not??? Glad I got it on sale!
