Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

Disappointment - a puzzle game!

From the description and the preview video on youtube I expected a RPG with strategical card play. What I got was a puzzle game where card with illogical features need to be combined for predefined puzzle setups. Rate of puzzle vs. "normal" encounters 7:1 !!! If you like puzzle games this could be a nice game for you. Do not toch otherwise. The game also suffers from some bad design choices. Having to click-holf hundreds of wood heaps (alos as a queen) is boring as hell. The voice and sound is nicely done but often disturbs the flow of the game. Especially when you get boring comments in your card games, that you have to skip or wait out. When trying a puzzle several times with different strategies this is frustrating. Overall a nice idea badly shaped and executed. False promises and no fun for me.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel

Not for PC

I played all three "old" Trails games and enjoyed them a lot. The "new" version uses a new engine. The drawback is that PC mouse is not really supported. You can only use the buttons for accept / cancel - like keys and when you move the mouse the view angle changes. ONLY! You can not move the cursor with the mouse or click on anything!!! For me that is a showstopper. Alas there is no hint in the description so you are not warned. It even reads support for controllers. Which is kinda the opposite of the truth. It is a controller game, that in contrast to the three former games, is not adapted to keyboard/mouse usage. A pity. Probably a really nice game with new elements and ideas. But the halfhearted attempt of a PC port...
