I really enjoy this game, it sucks me in much like Banished did but is different and more complex. I think people will be quick to compare it to Rimworld and the like, but Rimworld never really stuck for me like this does, Its more of a kingdom or city simulator than cohort simulator. Another comparison would be Dwarf Fortress but this is much easier to get started and has a larger emphasis on racial dynamics and social problems. I love a good management game from time to time, and I can see myself returning to this frequently. My first concern when I saw the game was the graphics, I've never been an avid fan of the pixel art style but I confess it works here. It allows for both a weird complexity to the scene while also being simple for quick identification. I particularly enjoyed the thunderstorm my city had, as the scene appeared to light up and it seemed almost realistic in the casting of shadows and shapes across the land. I think if the graphics in the only thing holding you off from this, please give it a try first, refund if it really doesn't work for you. What is already in the game is really strong, and I think they could possibly get away with releasing it after a bunch of simple quality of life fixes. I hope to see this game do well and continue to add more systems as more people get pulled in.
