I played this for 1 hour but the clock says 5 hours went by... Never thought a game like this could be that much fun, but here we are. A surprisingly strategic and fun game!
A fun twin stick shooter with great sound. I would like to give this 5 stars because of: - Different worlds that actually feel different because of different movement mechanics and enemies that tie in really well. - The music and sound, really pleasing noise! - The modules are fun because they are instruments for both music and destruction. - Filled to the brim with humor. - Really captures the LMNC vibes! - Some nice secrets to be found. (Yes I beat the boss rush) But there are some things that limit me to 4 stars: - Can get a bit repetitive when grinding for components. - Getting stuck on the terrain happens too easily. - The final boss is more tedium than challenge. - Some minor bugs.
While this is not the remaster many of us expected, it is still a fun game. The fact that it is easier to mod than the original also helps in modifying the experience to your liking. And yes, I did shamelesly give this five stars instead of the four it probably should have gotten to counteract those who only rate this low because it is not what they expected.
Pretty fun action platformer. Stay away if you don't like Smurfs. Has co-op for getting kids through the game, which I find a brilliant move.
