Silksong is a "git gud" platformer. It is is really finicky at times and has save points are spread extremely far apart. Many trash mobs are much bigger damage sponges than they should be - which when combined with the many Kaizo-inspired, spike-maze platforming sections, the result is a game that forgets to be fun in it's pursuit of challenge. A challenge should reward the player with a save point or treasure, but this game just stacks them in sequence and one failure means you must repeat the battery of them over and over. Story is also overy cryptic while forgettable. Expect to spenda lot of time farming rosary beads (currency) and doing some grindy fetch quests. Boss fights are solid, but overall Hollow Knight is the better game.
