Played in hard mode, as the title says. The game ranges from very good to *atrocious*. It runs out of tricks at some point past the halfway mark so for the last third (or so) all you get is: - search for hidden door/room/passage - enemies spawn inside of said room/passage and there is no cover for you hide behind This makes the game descend into running in circles finding where to go > monster arena where you circle strafe and shoot over and over and over. The bosses are incredibly bad in hard mode. The last two bosses require you to look up/look around to damage them (they are really big) but there are things below you (below the camera/fov of 95) that damage you. Looking up to damage the boss? You are going to get hit from below. Looking down to dodge things? You can't damage the boss. "But hold on, maybe just memorize the attacks so you can strafe around while looking up at the boss", I hear you say. Not so fast, the developers thought of this too! Both bosses have a component of randomness specifically for this reason. The second to last boss makes the platforms you are standing on disappear so you need to look around for where to jump. Fell in the water? This will drain your armor/health in seconds. The last boss has a rolling... mass? ball? that moves around at random, you cannot look up at him and strafe around dodging his attack patterns no matter how good you are. Touching either of these random elements takes you from full to dead in a few seconds in hard mode. The weapons also range from good to awful, including a few that shoot something that travels across the ground. How are you going to shoot UP at a boss with a weapon that shoots a wave across the ground. Anyway, if you play everything on hard mode like I do I would break that rule for this game and just play it on normal or easy if you feel you absolutely HAVE to play this. Otherwise just play something else.

A chore to play, will make you want to headbutt your monitor. Stealth is ok but the game forces combat upon you multiple times and the combat is absolutely ATROCIOUS. Bosses cheat their to victory, throwing 10-30 grenades at once and the game doesn't show you where they will land (there needed to be some indicator on the ground showing where frags will land). Everyone (including you) dies in 1 hit, except for the bosses. Enemies predict where you are going and lead their shots with pinpoint accuracy, their shots go through objects, above cover, around corners. Meanwhile your shots are blocked by everything in the environment. This is game is worth about $5 just so you can run around the city and enjoy the pretty, low poly graphics for a few minutes.
