The game is beautiful, no doubt. There is obviously a lot of love poured into the world and story. Gigs are pretty memorable as well. This comes into conflict with the obvious vision the director or board had for this game. The is a showing of what happens when you have too much money and no idea what to do with it. There also seems to be a pathological inability to say no to something. When Keanu Reeves demanded more time for his character, the answer should of been no. The dude has an acting range of a moist piece of wood. But his scenes are VERY well animated. It's obvious where the money went. Developers also seemed to follow the whims of whomever was in charge of this mess. There's vision, but it seems there's no understanding of what it takes to implement that vision. Money was wasted. Shame on the leaders. Get your crap together. tldr; Don't buy this. CDPR had the opportunity to rise to the top. They didn't have focus. They wouldn't have made it in Night City.
tl;dr :: If the next game is a remake, I won't be buying it Though a few of the jokes haven't aged well, the political caricature it paints is timeless. A good game with decent game play. I have 12hrs on it and definitely recommend. A better player could probably 100% it in less time. I'd be more interested in a reboot, with their own take on level and game design. Remaking the games imposes a pretty high limitation on these things. This is an IP they could really stretch around in and have some fun. I hope they don't continue to limit themselves like this in the future.
