Doom is a classic FPS, fun, with just enough powerups to make it through the levels and not too much to make it boring. What I regret is the lack of extra's, goodies, ... If you already own the game on steam or any other platform, there is no real advantage of getting it here. A few wad packs, the choice between dosbox version, windows version and/or a different launcher would have been nice. Why add The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls Chapter II: Daggerfall as "extra" in all Doom / doomII-Finall doom packs?

I have nothing to say about the story or the game itself, except that I'm also disapointed by the voice actor, I didn't remember that Gabriel could sound as perverted as Larry Laffer, some movements might look clumsy, but I think it's because all the animations have been pre-rendered so you can't realy have smooth interactions with everything, but it's not that disturbing. The graphics have been polished, and it's easier to spot the things you can interact with than with the old game. Overall, nice game except for the voice of Gabriel ...

When I saw that GOG released that, I couldn't resist, I had to buy them. Then, after installing the games and playing them, I was almost in trance. Then was the most difficult part, trying to remember what I did several years ago to solve the games. It's really funny to see that some hidden memories can come back after such a long time! But, I have to admit one thing, the CD version of Gob3, is not as good as the floppy version. issues with background music and so on, but it's still enjoyable! When will we have the schnibble?
