Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete

Too bugridden to enjoy.

I've sinked a lot of time in my childhood into this game, but now, playing it 12 years later I just can't get off the feeling that this game is too unfinished. It's a common case with Bugsidian games to release games in unfinished states but this is too much. All my playthrough I've been encountering bugs after bugs, AI not working or not working properly, cutscenes looking ridiculous because of missing characters that wander about instead of staying in one place, my character suddenly teleporting to locations and then reappearing at the place he should have been... the list can really go on and on. But the worst of them all is the save corruption bug which has simulteneously corrupted ALL my save files. I could try to find the solutuion (and I highly doubt it exists) but I'm just too tired with it. No game warrants this amount of patientce. Besides, it's not even that good as I remembered it. So, don't bother with it.

CrossCode

A game for those with a kink for puzzles

A lackluster game. There is so mush unfun about this game that it kills all the fun elements that are in it. While playing Crosscode I got a growing sensation that its developers had a very peculiar notion of "fun". For them, it's like fun equals annoying B.S. The more finicky and annoying the puzzle is, the more gamers will like it! No, they won't, at least not all of them and especially not me. It's not that I can't take a challenge (I've completed games way harder than this one, Hollow Knight, for example), but the challange in this game doesn't feel rewarding. You've just spent 5 minutes resolving this puzzle-room full of contraptions that require a dead-eye accuracy with little to no room for error? Congratulations, have some more of it, two times larger! No, thanks, I'm out.

Thief™ 2: The Metal Age

Meh

This game draws for too long. It barely brings anything new compared to the first game. Some areas are too large and empty. The plot is shallow, the villains are cartoonish. Half of Garrett's arsenal is redundant or outright useless on Expert difficulty. On some missions, extra objectives feel contrived (as "find 7 secrets", really, aren't they supposed to be secrets and not objectives required to complete the mission?). Last two penultimate missions (Casing the Joint and Masks) are painfully boring and frustrating. Not *the* best stealth game by a long shot.
