I've played through this and the prequel close to a dozen times now, and it never fails to satisfy. Good controls. Great Metroid-style power-ups that gradually unlock the game world. Intuitive, enjoyable mechanics. Not too challenging, just hits the sweet spot for good fun. I wish there were a hundred more games like this, just with slightly different maps or abilities. One of my all-time favorites.
