Still waiting for CP2077 to be what was promised and marketed. Cheap gimmicks like these don't do anything. Just sad.

reviewing v1.47 and latest v1.48, own most DLC's. Slums, Sewers, Bozak and The Following maps all work without issues. Any indoor/outdoor/zone transitions on these maps works without errors or crashing. Old Town is a bug-addled mess. 90% or better it crashes with the generic 0xC0000005 error. This is ONLY on the GoG version. The Steam version does not crash in Old Town. This is true with and without mods. The GoG version is using something for the Old Town maps that is different from Steam which is causing the crashing. The recent v1.48 update/patch didn't fix anything. Compatibility modes tried; Vista (SP1/SP2), Win8, Win7. Old Town crashes nearly every time. I used the 'start new game - Saviors' start point to be sure my current char didn't have some setting broken. As soon as I try to transition into Old Town it crashes (90-99%) of the time. IF I am able to load into Old Town, it doesn't last long, the game becomes unstable as entering conversations, indoor/outdoor transitions cause crashing. ** this is regardless of video/sound/game/control settings. Whatever version of Old Town Steam uses does not exhibit this behavior. specs : Win 10 latest patches, i7-5960x, 32GB ram, 3080Ti. Only Gog versions fails. SFC, Memory Test and other winblows tests show no system failures or file issues. No other system intensive software I use fails. While error 0xC0000005 can occur with bad memory, that is not the cause here. Why only GoG version and not the Steam version? What changes need to be made to Old Town? So at this time, GoG version is a busted waste of money. Cannot finish game. Do not buy on GoG!

Suffice it to say this game is a shell for some good ideas but those that are there are poorly implemented. Confused system used to determine npc good/bad state. Highly broken AI. Small world areas that become boring fast. Story is mediocre at best. Maybe they'll expand this at some future point but for now I just can't support it. They have a pretty nice graphics implementation. They really should look up mSV and understand what that means. The usage in the game does not correlate with any metric I could find. 2/5 overall. Don't buy in my opinion.

4/5 graphics. there are still low-res textures present. They have made some strides in presentation. 2/5 game mechanics. broken AI. what worked mostly in the Metro underground does not work well in this semi-open world environment. 4/5 when game returns to Metro areas. If only it had stuck more to this format. 4/5 weapon upgrade system in in-game ability to modify. 2/5 weapon degradation system seems to be applied unevenly. Same with the questionable moral system. 2/5 overall opinion of this as a Metro follow-up game. Too many things broken, some being the same issues from the original 2033 and LL. The AI being this bad really drags this down. Rushed intro was incredibly disappointing, hurry to leave Metro system. The new streaming system could have been used to incredible effect had they stuck to what worked. The move to open/semi-open world led to a game that is empty and boring. Story has problems that seem tied to the move from Metro to open world. On sale, this game seems to be worth a look with the understanding that a lot of what made Metro, well Metro, has been cast aside for a rushed semi-open world implementation. In an industry over-populated with open world games this Metro installment is just noise.

I purchased this as a simple hack-n-slash. *) The first person doesn't work very well in large battles since enemies have janky movement and can apparently slide around. This makes combat more confusing than it needs to be. If they allowed switching to third person it would alleviate problem. Target hitboxes also seem to be problematic. *) Graphically it seems to be ok. It doesn't appear to be optimized as FPS drops are frequent. *) Overall the gameplay loop is similar to other arena-based hack-n-slash games. *) I noticed after the most recent patch that the halloween theme was removed from the world, but also from the hub base. Changing/Removing things like this is not acceptable. If this is a date-based switch, meaning the content is still there and is only available during that time frame then ok. But, if content was removed by the developer because of the patch then that is not ok. Removing working content at the whim of the developer is never ok. I purchased a whole product and do not agree with arbitrary decisions by developers to alter that product other than to make corrections to the product. I will refund the product. I don't tolerate devs that operate this way. 1/5. Poor camera, good graphics, bad optimization, devs removing content after purchase. Just no.

DX12, HDR, Exclusive Fullscreen, rebindability in controller. Apparently the devs were aware of these issues back in 2019 and had exchanges with players about patches addressing all these issues. So 2 years and still in a broken state. Unacceptable. Refunded.

The unlocked camera that sways left and right is nauseating and annoying. You can switch shoulder sides for camera but it does not lock to a side, it dynamically sways to the left and right side (player character is on the right and left respectively). Horizon ZD has this same swaying camera and it's horrid. You would think after all this time the devs would have fixed it or implemented an option setting to lock/unlock the camera, nope. Garbage, absolute garbage. Unless you enjoy your viewport constantly swaying left and right, this game is a hard pass. No, cheatengine does not have a table to fix this and no other modders have a fix. Just like HZD. If you don't mind the camera doing this, it's still a good game, but 4 stars off for horrid camera mechanic.

In a scene graph, the camera is the most important object attached to it. It represents what the user sees in the environment. It doesn't matter how anything else runs if the camera object is bad. Everything is displayed through that object. So when the camera is hideous, the user has to decide if the developer made an error in development or if something in the software glitched. After much research I've found that this is a developer issue. The swaying camera side-to-side was a design decision and there are no user settings to prevent it. It is nauseating and disorienting. I've no idea why they thought this disconnected camera was a good idea. It serves no good purpose but to sicken the user. This is similar to becoming sea-sick because of the viewed environment shifting unnecessarily. I have looked for a third-party solution to the camera issue to no avail. Typically mod-makers or trainer tables might implement camera related options not in the software. Unfortunately I have found countless complaints about the camera but no concern shown by the developer/publisher about the issue. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Warning to people susceptible to motion sickness: the camera in this game arbitrarily shifts side to side and can cause severe disorientation. There is no way to prevent this behavior in the software. The developers intended to cause discomfort to its users with this design. While this is clearly noticeable in 16:9 display ratios, it becomes extreme for ultra widescreen. Much as flashing lights can cause nausea, epileptic episodes, headaches and vertigo, this camera shifting/swaying can cause the same. Shame on the company for not offering a user option to lock the camera in place to prevent this. The latest version appears to be 1.10 and that means the company has had numerous opportunities to implement and deploy this. It is now apparent the caused discomfort is intentional as it has not been addressed. This PSA brought to you by another gamer.

i7-5960x, 2x GTX980, 32G ram, Winblows 7 ult. Latest 460.79 nvidia drivers; cleaned install. Generally crashes when trying to get to the main menu. Always crashes after character creator and trying to start scenario (nomad, streetkid, corpo); always. Looking at the various crash files generated, it's always related to "Message: Gpu Crash for unknown reasons" in the crash txt file. "GPU Crash Reason: Unknown" in the gpu crash file. When I've been able to get to the main menu, I've made sure all settings were LOW. I've looked at the settings json file to confirm. I've reinstalled game. Verified files. Used GoG_Galaxy to launch and default launcher in game directory. Rebooted numerous times. Updated winblows drivers. Checked online solutions. Checked in these threads to see if there were any answers. Tried single GPU/SLI; which is interesting since the nvidia profile appears to have a semi-SLI config and yet the game only utilizes a single card, typically about 80% at the character creation screen. No solution found and no combination of things guarantee I'll even get to the main menu. I am disgusted by this. CDPR has become another cash-grab, broken product releasing company and CP2077 stands as a testament of that. W3 wasn't this broken at release. I remember those days fondly. This product tried to be an all-in-one across multiple platforms and only succeeded in becoming the laughing stock against fans of CDPR. The people who supported your efforts and looked forward to another product like W3. We expected better. Not perfection; that's not realistic, but at least workable. Remember that to gain trust is a hard fought battle, its loss after this will make that climb insurmountable. CDPR had the opportunity to push the date further back to ensure a suitable release, even against the howling of those who had no patience. It would have been better. What you have done to your customers won't be forgotten or forgiven. You took money, remember?

The UI is definitely targetted for controllers. Seems they wanted a console feel and left a lot of the UI interaction easily manipulated when using a controller but a real pita using keyboard/mouse. I was severely disappointed at this. UI overlays in the merchant screens and inventory/player screens that sit on top of the underlying elements you want to interact with, forces the user to either use arrow keys or move the mouse to a useable area of the screen. Very clunky and annoying. Some UI interaction recognizes the spacebar as a select/enter press, but this is very inconsistent. Again, a controller button accomplishes these interactions but the keyboard/mouse requires a more annoying use. The game has some pretty to it, unfortunately its behavior is inconsistent as well on high-end hardware. Shadows/Lighting that sometimes works, other times it's like there is no geometry between the light sources and your view so entire areas are just full-bright. Bad lighting engine? Intel 5960X, (2x) GTX980, 32G, eVGA X99 MB, 16TB HD (4x4), 51" UHD DC LG as monitor. I've tried various versions of the nVidia driver and it doesn't correct the graphical issues. I have other games that do not exhibit issues like this so the driver tests were just to see if SW2 needed something specific. So while it has its moments of humor, prettiness and fun, I think this should have been polished before release to be considered a 'targetted for PC' game and not another 'console wannabe on PC' mess. After the few patches they've released so far, none of the UI issues have been addressed. It seems the multiplayer aspect comes first, which I'll never use. The graphical glitches seemed to have been overlooked as well. Oh well. Nice try FWH/DD, nice try. I'd advise waiting before buying. I hate buying games only to find out they're BETA. Give the developer some more time to finish it and it will be worth it. It's just not a finished product.
