I sold my copy when i was litlle and regretted it for a long time. It feels like a dream to be able to play this again.
The first half of this game is pure survival horror gold but the other half is a dated and boring fps. It's a shame because i love the lovecraft stories but a good plot can't sustain a boring and dated game(The last half). The first half of the game is clunky too but it's still enjoyable. The gog version works on Win 10 but keep in mind that it still crashes from time to time(It crashed 3 times on me) and i got softlocked in a lot of spots.
This version is the best that exists of this game and it hasn't crashed once for me as the steam version did many times. However be aware that its bugs are still there and can sometimes softlock you. As far as i can tell that can be solved by loading your save file but it can be a problem if you hadn't saved in a while.
