Dear Esther: Landmark Edition

It is a book.

It is a great experience. The graphics are triple AAA grade. And the (english) narration is very nice. I like this kind of adventure. It reminds me the old magnetic scrolls adventures but now in 3D and speech output that is so realistic, as if there is someone who reads the book while you take a walk on this island. Maybe the developers aren't reading this, but i would like to make a wish. Add please an italian translation to this book. It would me make happier than I am now. Great work, I recommend it to text adventure players, and players maybe which like Myst style games. (I played it for circa 20 minutes, and I stopped playing it with an unhappy feeling. Its realy that good. Do not know if you find puzzles though. 20 minutes are too short to tell about puzzles, give the game a chance.) It is worth the price as the game is right now.

The Guest

Nice Game

I wanted puzzles without horror ambiance, I wanted a bug free game which is playable in some hours or days, without having to worry about any DLC which I do not have, and have to buy. I wanted an adventure game. And I got it with gog.com and The Guest. Great background sound, no big performance hunger and easy puzzles. Yes go ahead buy this one, I reccommend it. It worked for me.

No Man's Sky

It does not work

It promises a lot, but maybe it works on Playstation but on the PC the port is not successful. It starts but it is not playable, because I see just a white screen, no matter what I try. Asked a refund. No answer yet.

Great Survival Game

First of this game is not finished, you do not get as I am writing in November 16, the story mode. It is still in development. BUT. The things you get for your money is a great Sandbox mode, nice graphics and a continuing support and update. I play this game often and the best thing is that always when you start a sandbox game, nothing is the same, you never find the items you need at the same place, its completely random. In one sandbox game you find a rifle a knife or a hatchet is already in you backpack, in an other sandbox game you have maybe wood or nothing at all. But when you enter a location (a trailer, a hut) you find something if your lucky. This aspect is the best at this game. The game is totally unpredictible. And that´s the best part. You find yourself at only some steps, where you know you have your hut with your wood, water and other resources you placed there, but the wheater is getting so worse that you cannot see further than a few steps ahead, so you try to guess and stumble through this soup of snow, ice and wood, trying to find your hut with the hope you can survive another day. Meanwhile your clothing are weakening in doing their job, ie keeping you warm, or your water is going low, or you do not have enough food. If you would be in your hut you could repair some of it, but this snow storm does not let you rest and so you go on trying to find you hut. Thats just one example how the gameplay is. The User interface is simple enough and is learnable in a quick time. Game Crashes in Windows aren't frequent so you can play for hours loosing maybe the sense of the real time, remaining immersed in this desolate wilderness which is almost completly open to explore. But beware you have to pay for every step in the wrong direction, and never forget, if you go somewhere to plan you way back, too. I can only recommend this game, You will not regret it. I didn't.
