c'mon. this is a very good one
Coming off of something like FONV or even Gothic, this game is not an "As Advertised" product. The bugs mentioned by other players were not my issue. The game being shown as a "choose your own adventure" or open world game is false. I repeatedly found myself restricted in my choices and unable to play this Video Game as the game told me to play it in its' advertising and tutorials. This is an ACTION ROLE-PLAYING GAME set in medieval Europe where one is told to ROLE-PLAY as someone of that mind set. Paradoxically you're stifled at every turn, and you can't just play it like a crappy Bethesda title either. There are some folks who will be heinous characters but even though you get the jump on them you won't be able to enact any justice or vengeance. The inclusion specifically of r*apists and those that enable sexual assault infront of the player while not allowing the player to act in the situation, and then saving the same perpetrators in cutscenes seems especially in opposition to the ideals of an RPG. Furthermore these events happen after a setting is established and it is not a "grimdark" setting. There are friendly and helpful people to help you along, so it's suspect to me that those actions and characters are the ones to be highlighted and saved. I would have fewer qualms were this game advertised as a GRITTY ACTION ADVENTURE but that's so clearly not what was intended during the design process and not what is advertised today, and especially not how the game introduces itself to new players. Skip this game, do not waste the 10 hours on it that I did.
engaging setting real time with pause
First time playing, never knew this game until now Puzzles are nonsense however this is saved by the low item limit per chapter making cycling through to see what works mostly painless. I'd still reccomend a guide if you aren't able to find a needed item. The story, setting, artwork and goofy characters make for a fun, quick adventure that I'm sure I'll return to.
