I backed this on Kickstarter back in 2019, and with everything that happened with the pandemic, the release was a bit late. I have to say the game was well worth the wait! Graphics are great. Very well drawn backgrounds and nice animations. Lots of detail on everything. Very few cutscenes, and they seem to be a little low on resolution, but still very enjoyable. Voice acting is very well done, and there is a LOT of dialog to listen to. Achievements for exhausting all conversation options, funny jokes, lots of references to other games/movies, and general pop culture references. I found that most of the voices fit the characters very well and made you connect with them more. Music and sound effects are very well done too. Gameplay is very fluid and easy to learn. Typical point-n-click interface, with a nicely done inventory system. One thing very unique in this game is that there are multiple ways to solve puzzles, and your choices can alter future events in the game. Add to that multiple endings and this game has some nice replay value. One thing that really blew me away was at one point I made a choice I didn't like, so I reloaded a saved game to change it. The dialog between the characters changed and they actually commented "haven't we done this before?" and scolded me for cheating!!! HAHAHA, love it!
This is a great RPG with a lot of atmosphere. The graphics are beautiful and the music and sound effects are very well done and get you really immersed in the game. There are a ton of quests and a lot of areas to explore. Crafting is very easy and well worth your time, as the best gear is what you can craft, not what you buy or find (except for certain items later in the game). The dialogue and text throughout, including books, are all very well written and the voice acting is exceptional. I found the main story as well as the side quests to be very entertaining and engaging. I bought this on sale, but it's well worth full price.
This is an amazing, underrated game. I must have played this one a dozen times over if not more. Great graphics, music, sound, stroyline, combat, sidequests, minigames, the list goes on! If there is one game I would recommend getting it's this one!
