I remember playing this back when it first came out just to see how outrageous it would be.I actually found it to be amazingly well written for a supposedly low brow game. the musical part was hilarious.
At first I looked at this game and said to my friend jokingly WOW that game looks AMMMMMAZING, and he was like yuuuup. But then I looked at some of the reviews read up on it, watched some gameplay videos. Then got the second one , I was amazed to find that this game was doing things that were unheard of at the time terrain deformation, real time water reflections and regenerating health : D I love it, it is the best of old school games and it was surely a stepping stone for the giants of today.
At first I thought this was going to be just another generic RPG not bad but nothing that would stand out and wow me. After playing through the first chapter my jaw had hit the floor both from the rich combat system and engaging world. Few stories have drawn me in like this, this is on par with KOTOR in my book or a mass effect game.
Ever feel the need to cut down a thousand Nazis just cause your having a bad night, or maybe you want to cull the super natural, or maybe you just like vampire chicks in tight clothing if you have answered yes to any of the above Bloodrayne is worth checking out. There is nothing super amazing about this game it has a decent story but the best part is chopping up Nazis in slow motion and you can even drain there blood while they go down. This game is not really for squeamish people because each limb has about 30 gallons of blood in it.
