This game is right up my alley. It's a survival city builder, so the main activities are gathering resources and upgrading and expanding your city. The first time I played this game I only made it about halfway through before everything started hitting the fan. Nonetheless I probably played for at least 5 hours straight and was very engaged the entire time. I just beat the "a new home" scenario yesterday early in the morning after playing for nearly 12 hours straight. I've very rarely ever felt so engaged in a game. Although it may not have the replay-ability of some games each play session I've had with Frostpunk has left a lasting impact on me and positive memories that are likely to stay with me. I really love the overall theme/aesthetic and the soundtrack is phenomenal to boot. Very thought provoking and engaging game that isn't for everybody but definitely one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a long time.
