Hotline Miami 2 does what does not happen very often - it is a sequal that is better than the original. In Hotline Miami 2 the mechanics have been fine tuned and the controls are perfect. The horror and gore is still there, but if you can accept it, it is a great game.
I think most people who play PC have stumbled upon Hotline Miami at some point. The game is great and the mechanics works really well. The story is very horror like with a lot of blood. If you can accept the gore level, it is highly recommended (by everyone, I think?).
My only complaint with this game is that there is not enough! The story is very interesting and is told in a very unique way, which just adds to the tension. It is a really good game and I hope to see more from the same universe and from the same developers.
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is worth the asking price. It is one of the best platformers I have played on PC and does the balance between enjoyment and giving a challenge very well. The level up of equipment is a bit weird, but it works and makes the end game easier.
I really didn't know what to expect coming into this, but I know what I got. Terminator: Resistance is a solid FPS made the way they used to make FPS. You can also have intercouse with the females in the game and your decisions will affect the NPC's. Apart from the intercouse, which I honestly don't get in a video game, Terminator: Resistance is good fun. Not that the intercouse part is not fun, it's just weird. You get better weapons as you progress and there is a sneak element to the game also. The story is what you would except in an early 2000's FPS and it fits perfectly. It's a good game.
This game is not as good as Human Revolution, but it is still a good Deus Ex game and a very good FPS. I played it on the hardest difficulty available for a new game and it is way to easy. You get a lot of weapons very quick and a lot of praxis'. The level design is not as interesting as Human Revolution, but still okay. I found myself skipping through dialogue because very early on, you know who's who and where story is going. You have very little influence on the actual outcome of the game and the game doesn't feel as open as Human Revolution. Still, the story is there and it is in no way boring. The voice acting is some of the best, especially Jensen and Miller. The game mechanics is also very impressive and ahead of it's time (you see the stuff that they did in Mankind Divided in games releasing now and the last 1-2 years). Feels like they spend time on game mechanics and impressive features and perhaps neglected the story a bit. Mankind Divided does what you except from a sequel and nothing less or nothing more. It is a good game and highly recommended. It easily beats other FPS from the same time and current FPS.
I have been playing FPS since the late 90's and have (unfortunately) steered clear of the Deus Ex series, because I found it to be vague in story and touching upon subjects which I did not find interesting in my younger days. Coming late to the game, and still not having finished the two games released before this one, Deus Ex - Human Revolution is easy one of the best FPS made. I played it on the hardest difficulty when starting a new game. The game has a slow start, but everything is perfect. You start with limited weapons and ammo and have to work hard, in order to get the stuff you like. The boss are tough if playing with a controller and the first boss was the one I struggled the most with, simply because I didn't have the weapons to fight him properly. The story is excellent, the level design is huge and excellent. The levels can be a bit confusing in the beginning, but after you learn them, it works very well. Overall one of the best FPS and a game like they don't make them anymore.
