A single narrative driven campaign in the HOMM universe. In this you can only play as the Stronghold. Its a different type of challenge, but I can only recommend it to people who are somewhat more interested in the lore. It is a well written and somewhat difficult campaign however. Obviously the complete edition is far superior.
Exploration heavy rouge-like game with emphasis on experimentation. Causing chaos every run with different combinations of spells is very enjoyable. It's rather difficoult, so it's not for the average gamer, but it is rewarding and fun.
