Card Shark

Nice little game

The jist of the game is that it teaches you card tricks to cheat your way through card games while also delivering a story. The tricks are fun and seem authentic (like one could pull them off in real life too). Learning the tricks and applying them was causing my brain to work pretty heavily. It was fun but ultimately I had to dial back the difficulty because i could not perform the tricks as fast as the game required me to. Everything is super chill on the lowest difficulty and the game even allows you to skip some sections after you fail, so that you can at least see the story (which is ok, but nothing to write home about) All in all, i can say i had fun with it

SteamWorld Heist II

Chill and fun game

After a day of work, when my brain is fried and I want to relax with a fun but not very demanding game, playing this is a breath of fresh air. It does become quite repetitive at some point, but it's also not long enough to overstay its welcome. Had a great experience playing it with a controller (I did not try mouse and keyboard, so can't say if it's better or worse)

Baldur's Gate 3

Best game I played in a good while

A friend convinced me to buy this at full price, which I very rarely do, especially due to how selective I am about the games I play due to my limited gaming time. Boy was I not disappointed at all! This felt like a true adventure all the way and the story and the sidequests and characters all kept my interest and I wanted to 100% and not miss any side quest and left no stone unturned. When I finished the game after around 150 hours (I'm a pretty slow player and I possibly was afk 50 of those hours) all I wanted was to start a new game to apply all of my gained knowledge and more importantly to uncover the story of one of the other playable characters. My only complaint is that it can get quite rough to do an action like talk to an NPC when playing with a controller and too frequently my character would end up inadvertently stealing something that I did not want to do.
