The game is very cute, the art is nice, the enigmas are never outright nonsensical, for its price, I definitely recommend. I played in modern mode, and I'm glad I did 'cause the game has pixel hunting for you in store if you go with classic. Also, a very low spoiler advice going forward: The game gives you the option of opening and closing. Get ready to use it on anything that looks like a door to avoid being stuck assuming such and such cannot or need not be opened or closed.
Nice art, well written dialogues, a simple yet good scenario. Don't look for much agency over the storyline though, this is rather about listening to stories of different timelines. Let's just put it this way : childs can absolutely play this game, and you should play it to.
