This game is the spiritual successor to Castlevania: SOTN. If you enjoyed that game, you will likely enjoy this game. It incorporates quite a few other ideas from the Castevania games on the GBA, in the form of shards.
This game captures the feel and atmoshpere of old platformers and adds a modern interpretation very well. It may not appeal to all gamers, but for the ones who have played the old platformers and Atari console games, this game manages a very well homage to the classics.
Blasphemous 2 takes the things I enjoyed from the original game, and improved upon it in other ways. World exploration feels more open ended this time. I don't remember how easy it was to fast travel, but this time around the ability to travel from location to location expands the more you progress - this makes returning to old areas that were once unable to be explored with new ablities that allows your character to explore those areas much more convenient. There are so many side expansions compared to the original game, such as statues that provide passive boosts, new weapons, and what feels like a larger map. Great game.
Great strategy game. It is a mix of fire emblem and ogre battle. You can easily see the inspiration that this game came from.
It seems everytime I flee from enemies during the jacking in segments, the game has a frozen screen and I cannot progress. Sometimes saving and exiting from the frozen screen (I can still access the escape key menu) allows me to return to title to progress. But it also sometimes just freezes during the quick save.
