I have no clue why this mod is so liked cause once you leave the starting zone it's just horrible . the forced story dump from the start and again not long after is insane , like I just started the game stop with the info dump I will not listen nor remember any of it even if you force me to stand in a place just to listen to it TWICE for like 2 to 3 minutes , Show don't tell ever heard of that sentence ? . the people in the world you first meet are just straight up jerks , yeah I might be a random new guy but if you are gonna insult me and then ask me to do quest I will tell you to shove it where the sun doesn't shine. sadly you can't do that cause it was a required mission to further the plot . They also talk about another set of people but if you want to work with them it's glitched so you are stuck with the jerks , and in general people are just stuck up jerks . The game is also just glitchy in general cause after opening too many doors you will be stuck in the loading loop and you will have to forcefully stop the game . the quest marker will also sometimes just lead you to places you are not meant to go , ladybugs can't be targeted by V.A.T.S . if you are looking for a fun time don't download this , i'd ask for my money back if it wasn't for the fact it's free, well aside from the fact you need Fallout 4 in the first place.
Ever played Mirror's Edge and Super Hot and wondered hmm this could use more guns and also want to be on a constant stream of dopamine cause it's a constant blitz of go fast do this run on walls kill everyone in your path cause the game does not let go of the go faster button . while this game has a story it's a loose description of a story and it honestly doesn't matter cause you'll be having too much fun just hop skipping about firing weapons . the game gives you a small tutorial of the basics of the control and then basically just let's you run wild cause you'll be given a objective and how to do that well that is up to you . 1 minor downside is the game is rather dark so there will be times you are bumping into a wall and you hardly notice it cause of all the bullets flying about . if you like a silly game that basically just gives you skills to wall jump and slide and hop and with all that a gun and just says Go wild then this is the game for you.
can't get it to work on both my windows xp machine or on my windows 11 machine both spit out a equal error which my windows xp machine said was a DirectX error ,
the good parts: 1.This game is beautiful to the point that the fact that is 100% made out of cubes is kinda forgotten while driving/flying/hovering throught the city it is very well done . 2 the controls are very well even with the fact that you are driving/flying/hovering it makes sense with how the vehicles responses to your inputs . 3. the voice actors are on point if a bit bland and dead feeling (like really emote sometimes). the bad parts : 1.it feels like the world has no real lore behind it aside from the fact the world sucks everybody is corrupt and you are barely making due like every basic distopian future , that on it's own is fine but it feels there is nothing beyond that ,very few times did i go oh i wanna know more of this part . 2. with the fact that the city is very crowded you are gonna bump into things and i do mean alot of things and it damages the vehicle though you will never see how damaged it is which leaves you questioning the entire time . 3.the story is just there and that is about it , yes it keeps you going but aside from giving you money so you can get fuel and repair your car and maybe get some "upgrades" it just feels plopped in , yes it's sprinkled with futuristic stuff but remove that it's really bland and can be tossed into any random game . 4. sometimes you need items to progress and sometimes they are easy to find and sometimes they are just really obtuse and you are given basically no clue on where to look . 5. i only got somewhat attached to like 2 characters 3 if you count the main character but it's a surface attachement not a good hook into my feeling ( very subjective yes it still matters though) End though : The art is on point you do get the feeling of a futuristic world and the gameplay controls are good too nothing to complaign on that it's just the story is lacking and feels empty and dead nothing you do matters to the main character really even the end is just nothing you do it and it's done.
This game is just alot of fun and now with the glitch finally fixed for modern graphic cards it's even playable . As the box used to say on the back FEEL the force of 600 MPH and it wasn't just mainly marketing cause you do feel like just going really fast and it gets even faster in the later part of the game when you have upgraded the pods . And yes you do get to upgrade the pods with bigger engines stronger boost better handeling (highly important that one ) and other things to make the pod go to greater speeds . The sounds in the game are still great with the roaring of the engines the wooshing of the wind and the music from star wars ofcourse , also you can hurl insults at the other drivers in a language you most likely won't understand and that is hilarious . One thing brought up back when the game was new is that the other pod racers don't pose much of a challenge and it's not wrong they are so far behind you that they are almost never in the way , but i do say almost cause in the late game when the tracks become so insane with turns and so on that if you even foul up just once they will catch up rather fast and then they do become a obstacle you need to keep in mind . the challenge is more can you become the best at the lap record and that is enjoyable on it's own just to hear the announcer shout It's a NEW lap record is just so great to hear when you do succeed in doing it . All in all just a game worth buying no matter what , if you have even a inkling of curiousity in this game i would urge you to get it .
All in all this is a good game , but and there is a but there are some issues with the game that i had that it would crash a few times but with the auto save it was never a issue or anoying , there is also a manual save and personally i made liberal use of it . Also don't alt-tab the game it really does not like that, you can get away with it sometimes but not all the time . To be clear none of the issue's stop you from finishing the game so no worry about that Also one of the villains is called the Doge and yes it's exactly said how you think it's being said . The places you will roam through all have their charm and are beautifull in their own right . The combat at face value is basic but it gets more "difficult" with the fact that you need to time the attacks to get the max out of your attacks . All in all it is absolutely worth a pick up if it is cheap .
