I have the original game on disc but could never get very far at all in it so was kind of a lost cause . Controls were terrible. Playing the remastered version I have been havign a blast getting lost. I now know that I never got out of the "tutorial" so to speak, LOL. The new version plays very well and is a night and day experiance. So far no issues other that I wish I could brighten it up some. I tend to get stress headaches from squinting trying to see stuff when in really dark areas. That goes for any game. NightDive as usual did a great job. with the graphic and controls. The game plays smoothly on my ancient hardware.
I thought it was the original that I have on the Xbone but it's not. I have this remade version on EPIC and I found it a great disappointment compared to the original version for me at least. I wish they had included the original with the original AI as an option even if it was DLC. The AI is way too smart in this version. I can never win a game. For me, this is like Fairy Solitare where the remake isn't as good as the original version.
Great games and I'm happy to see them come to GOG. I will certainly pick them up again on GOG and while I prefer the original to the HD version as the original version runs better on my hardware and takes up less HHD space; I see the original version will eventually be added . Win win situation for me.
