... somehow the overarching story didn't do it for me, neither in the main game nor in the French-ish DLC. The game is outstanding in the smaller stories, such as the baron. Also too much grind (what are all these treasures in the middle of the sea?!; so unnecessary) and subpar combat system.
The best RPG I've played in years. Challenging combat system, okay story. Still looking for a game as rich as Dragon Age Origins (turn based or not). This is as close as ever, but still not there.
Enjoyable story shooter, also for someone who comes from RPGs. For me, the most I've enjoyed a shooter since Half Life 2. I specifically like the sneaking pathways, which in many cases let you avoid the monsters altogether.
