Chronos: Before the Ashes

Slow, repetitive, poor design

It takes a long time to do anything, and if you die you have to do it again, dodge or block, couple attacks and they are all very similar. Boring surroundings, linear setup.

Cyberpunk 2077

The title is a great fit.

Hype ruins everything including prom night. This game probably has lower ratings because of hype. There isn't a game like this in this setting. It delivers a very immersive time in a sandbox cyberpunk setting. Great story, great voice acting, great interactions, great model movements. I really hope Elder scrolls comes out with a game that has these types of conversations. Now, I do recommend the cyberengine so you can fix getting caught in stuff. Twice in the game I got hit by a car and I flew into an area I couldn't actually walk out of. But if you save often, etc. I don't think twice ever is a real big deal. Better than other sandbox games where I can't complete a quest cause someone didn't show up cause they are stuck on a rock behind an alley. Never to be seen again.

The Longing

A fun walking simulator

Yeah. This is actually on par with Eastshade for fun, relaxing gameplay. Satisfying play and exploration sim. At least once try playing the game without any other task taking your attention away, it's pretty relaxing, which is rare in games these days.

Aven Colony

Am I supposed to dislike this game?

My need to end lives was not fufilled by a combat mechanic. I had to destroy homes and stop feeding people to get my fix. DAMMIT AVEN COLONY! I want personality like my ex-girlfriend (non-existant). I hate options, and story elements that make my game seem plausible and characters seem believable. DAMMIT AVEN COLONY! I couldn't find an exploit in the first 12 minutes. But an hour into the game I noticed some options are preferable in most cases. I hate learning how to play a game. DAMMIT AVEN COLONY! Ok. In all honesty I don't understand the dislike for this game. On a 4/5 stars I can kinda see it not being an everyone will love it game, but under 4 doesn't make a lot of sense. It's a fun time waster that you could probably watch a movie while doing, if you are willing to pause one of the two at times. Pros: Nice looking. (unlike my ex) A lot of stat management that is easy to understand. (aka depth without complication) Not everything is numerical so you do have to feel it out in some places or play for a little bit. Game is pretty easy but not something I would fall asleep to (except if I pause it for a while) Has very mild challenges where you will want to pause or slow to normal speeds for. Cons: If you need to be mistreated to have a good time, not your thing here. If you like purely numerical judgement call, this might not be your thing. If you like a hard challenge, this might not be your thing.

Opus Magnum

Pretty, fun, great story, non-violent

This game looks great. Plays like other Zachtronics, but looks a world better than some. As usual, always makes you wonder how much you can improve on your design.
