Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft

Remaster, not a modern remake

Back to the old times... TR2 was my first 3d 1st Person game! Be aware that these are remastered but carefully preserved games - not modern remakes! If you love retro games they are perfect, if you are young you can find out how games were played a quarter century ago. They now run smoothly in Win 10/11 with xbox one controller - no need of workarounds and buggy gamepad emulators. Graphic resolution is much improved to look good on a large screen resolution - but everything else is pretty much exactly original - motion control, move behavior, camera. If you never played the old games: Holster the gun before jump+grab, keep button pressed as long as you grab a ledge. Motion is still 4-way only like in the old times, so use D-pad for precise motion control instead of the stick, the stick control feels odd. The camera bumps into walls, so for a better view stop moving and press the view button to look around. No autosave points, so save frequently. For real retro feeling, difficult jumps and sometimes brighter lighting you can toggle between old and remastered graphic anytime with a button. Always a wow effect if you go back to new. However, if you expect a really modern game for your money, you will be disappointed.
