The granddaddy of ARPG-s has aged well - and it's a must-have for all who has at least a little love for the genre. Yeah, it's simpler and slower than its modern counterparts, but still enjoyable, and has its unmistakably unique, dark atmosphere. For old ass gamers like me - who already played it in the late '90-s - firing up the game, arriving at Tristram and hearing the iconic background music kick in just makes you feel home instantly. We tend to throw around the word "classic" too much, but this is a title that really deserves it.
The gameplay is what you expect from a good ARPG, the visuals, sound, and music create an atmosphere which makes you want to stay in this world fighting with all the ugly stuff it throws at you.
