Anyone who ever owned a Commodore 64 had the following games: Bubble Bobble, The Last Ninja and the Giana Sisters. The original game made a lot of controversy when it first came out in 1987 for one particular reason: to call it a Super Mario Bros. clone was an understatement. However, the game had significant success, and people generally praised it for its brilliant gameplay and music, although the game's levels resembled that of SMB. A quarter of a century later the sisters are back (in 2010 there was, ironically, a Nintendo DS version of Giana Sisters, which also is a fun game). Now, a new generation, as well as the old school gamers (yippee!!!), can experience the Giana Sisters once more, in a new, wonderful world full of challenges and diamonds! This truly warms an 80s kid's heart - great game!
As a kid, I always loved to watch my older brothers play computer games both on the Commodore 64 and Windows machines. There were games like The Last Ninja, Maniac Mansion, Warcraft II, Monkey Island, Sam & Max, King's Quest, Gabriel Knight, you name it. Little Big Adventure 2 was one of the first games I ever played. But at that time it was too hard for me to play through alone; but watching my brothers play through it was like a true adventure and it was a world of magic. I got fond memories from this game, and it is always a game that I come back to because old computer games are something that bring back a lot of wonderful memories. The soundtrack is epic. The plot is epic. The atmosphere is epic. The graphics are epic. Everything is epic. This game is a true master piece in video game history, and I thank gog.com for giving me the possibility to play it again.
