The game runs well, but it doesn't have the original soundtrack (not even the original opening video and menus). Half of the charm was that cool late 90s sound and design. I have the game on PS1 and it of course has all that intact. I wanted to have it on PC for its higher frame rates and resolutions, but it's not the same for me. :-/
First of all, I'm a classic game lover, so I have MK4 on PS1. That said, this version is pretty solid, but it has issues with controllers being recognized (come on, I don't want to play my fighting game with a keyboard...) and FMVs have forced scanlines that make them look darker than they should be. Other than that, pretty solid version, although with a confusing configuration system. If you have the PS1 version, there's nothing to see here, that one is the way superior one, but if you don't and want a fun, simple, flawed but charging, fighting game, get it.
