Dr Livingstone, I Presume? - Reversed Escape Room

Fun but missing the "spark"

While this game was fun to play, it didn't really scratch the "itch". What I mean by that - it didn't "wow" me. The puzzles were okay but nothing extraordinary. To me, the story was quite underwhelming. The player is thrown into the game after being told that they have to determine what happened to Dr. Livingstone. One might wonder "but why? why should I care? why is this urgent?" and the scarce details do not help much. The protagonist seems to be growing very worried about Livingstone and the reason is... forgetfulness? Off behaviour? In addition to the end reveal, the true reson for the protagonist's mission is old age and neurodegenerative disease. Having said that, I truly appreciate the time and effort the developers' have put into making this game. It may have not "wow"-ed me but still, I played it twice and do not consider that time wasted. So, is it good? Yes. Is it fantastic? No. Do I recommend it to others who like puzzle game/escape room type games? Yes.
