I'm by no means a Civ expert, but Civ 4 is a well-balanced game: It's way more fast-paced than Civ 3 and 6 (at least to me), and it the AI offers just enough help with suggestions to keep the game rolling rather than interupting the flow. I also appreciate how you can win the game diplomatically. You can peacefully without having to nuke other nations. Overall, a lot of fun to play and well-designed!
I've only played a little of Civ 6 and this one. I enjoy older PC strategy games, and this one is alot of fun. However, it has some complex nuances that are not intuitive to pick up on easily. The port also glitches on my laptop sometimes too. solid 4/5 and great game!
This is a near perfect game. Fun dynamics, strategy, and world building. Its graphics are of course dated and hard to see in some places, but otherwise a great game.
