Just finished the game. Every problem you run into can be solved through tedious combat or talking/stealing. I'll spare the details. Combat was too easy, boring, and repetitive. If the Combat was harder than it'd still be boring, but frustrating. Now, my build was a Silver Wing talky man with psychic powers. I'd like to point out that I thought combat was too easy, while playing with a build that did not focus on combat. Yeah. It's ok for CRPG's to have bad combat. As long as the dialog is good. The dialog is not good. Typos everywhere. Bland characters, companions, and interactions. However the setting of the Dome and the employee wings is a really cool idea. It is a shame that the employee wings reputation is largely ignored in the second half. Unlike most other CRPG's the final level isn't trash garbage. It's still not good, but it didn't make me want to quit the game. Overall the best thing about this game is that it is not very long. Most other CRPG's are far too bloated and cram packed with too much stuff, and you'll never actually finish them.
50$ is too much. Way too much. Even the Dragons Dogma remaster was only 30. With some really fast -50% sales too. And Capcom actually put some work into that. Wait for a sale. A big sale. I've seen this thing go for 5$ on steam. If you wanna dump 50$ into this, just buy the sequel instead. As for the game itself it's pretty good. Really good. But its 4 years old, and that's basically full price.
Controls are not only locked, but the game seems to lie about what the buttons are. Not to mention the game doesn't tell you how to play it. Yeah and there's no training room for scrubs like me. This is complete trash, unless you already know the game.
I played the gravy out of this game on my phone. It is worth mentioning that there is no Micro-transaction/DLC/Energy bar systems in this game, even on the mobile version. The gameplay is simple but offers a some new fun things to mess with, as it combines match 3 mechanics with traditional cardplay. With no multiplayer there not much reason to keep on playing after completing the single player campaign. But this game is so laid back and casual it is hard to tell how enjoyable a"competitive" multiplayer scene would be. Overall you will find a neat little card game that's as cheap as a couple of boosters. If you are a fan of card games its worth picking this one up.
This game is an ugly ugly diamond. A majority of the tactics revolve around positioning your units and manipulating the enemies location. And this is done very well, and is better than most. The animations and sprites also work. Some sprites look a bit out of place, but for the most part they are good. Now onto the bad things. All of these boil down to a common theme. This game has no polish. At All. None. There are a staggering amount very obvious but minor problems with this game, and they all pile up into one big huge ugly mess. Its not pretty, Trust me. Horrible GUI: Way to small, doesn't even take up 5% of screen space. But there's enough information and things to easily fill up 30-40% of the screen here. Disgusting Fonts: The font is disgustingly small. The backdrop the font is too vivid and has too much contrast. Basically, it is very hard to read. Statpages: Somehow they made the font even smaller. No tooltips on what stats do. Bad Hotkeys: Most are "Shift + X" when "X" has no hotkey. Why? Garbage Cutscenes: These are a square and some JPG's that takes up a mere 30% of the screen. Also you get to read that nasty font some more. Lazy PvP: At first glance this looked cool, but there is not a way to customize your team. There aren't even preset teams to choose from. Basically you just get whatever units the game gives you. That made me pretty sad. I really wish I could give this game a better score, it doesn't deserve a mere two stars. But I can not justify anything more than that with so many flaws.
