Grim Dawn

Has its merits, infuriating updates

Rage review, so let's see how objectivity goes. The game has some very good points, specially for people whom love ARPG. The class and leveling system is very interesting, allows for very well calculated an varied builds, the game is well thought from the beginning to the end-game. Compared to Diablo 3 I would say that it is a lot less polished, something normal, Blizzard has zilions of employees. The game can compensate for that with a much better class and leveling system, this game is not shallow after a while. At least if you love the genre. Compared to PoE, I loved this one more. PoE has much better graphics but I liked this one way more anyway. History and characters are terrible, just as in any other ARPG. You are here for the face melting and the classes and the grinding. That part is what is very good. I ended giving one star because the game tends to update itself every week or so. The update always seems to take 2 Gb. You think that you are going to play GD? Nah, you aren't. You look for something else to do. This time I got frustrated and unistalled. About 35 hours of play and might come back some day, I'd say it was worth the money. Summary: Good ARPG made with little resources. Not so many things and graphics as DIABLO 3, but you get more in other areas. You can feel that this game was made by fans of these kind of games.

SYNTHETIK: Legion Rising

Great game, excelent for the price.

Hi all, I got into this excelent game because of the hey, hey, people review and because of the pandemy. This is a game that at first annoys you because of the eject magazine + reload mecanic, looks like a good roguelike without much more, first 3-5 hours I didn't thought of it so fondly. It was good for 20 bucks. Well, after some more playing you begin seeing the marvelos depth and insanity of this game. This game is good, but it turns out GREAT because of the scale, the more you play and the farther you get the more enemies come for you and the more damage your weapons do to those enemies. It gets VERY frantic and VERY satisfying, it is amazing even after 100 hours when I can defeat the final boss on a regular basis. So, PROs and CONs PROS: - Weapons. Many and very diverse, some are silly, some are science-murder-fiction-insane and some are real-world-solid. This is probably the best this game has, all are very satisfying. Same weapon always comes in different variants, so different spices. - Enemies. Varied and good, they get more serious the more you progress. - Powerups. There are many and they are great roguelike powerups. - Prestige store? Maybe I'm telling the name wrong. You unlock a store were you can play new game modes for game currency (no real world $ exchange). This is good as lets you play INSANE game modes when the base game is getting slow. 100 hours and I'm beggining to play these. Also you never run out. - Reload mecanic. When you get used to it it's great. CONS: - Can't save and continue the run later, this sucks a little. A good run can go for 1,5 hours (for me) and sometimes I wish I could leave the game and continue at some other moment. - Boses. Are not bad but ... maybe they could be better. That's all. 10/10, one of the best games I have ever played. My favourite roguelike.
