Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition

My favorite and here's why

GalCiv2 Ultimate is a great game and ranks a little above MOO2 for me. The core game is good, but the Star Trek vs Star Wars MOD makes this game amazing. Link Here: http://forums.galciv2.com/448534/page/1/#3632162 Add the ability to easily MOD this game to suit your play style makes it the best ever, I've been playing the game for what seems like a decade and still play it in 2017. What I really appreciate is that I've played this game on many different systems over the years. Windows XP, Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10. That is a sign of a well coded game to me. Lots of re-playability and options that allow you to play a different game every time. The races are different and have unique tech and abilities which I love. For under $10.00 you would be crazy to pass up this game. At the time of this writing GalCiv2 is still better than GalCiv3 in my opinion.

Titan Quest Anniversary Edition

A classic and one of my top 10 all time

This was such a great game that didn't quite get the credit it deserved. It reminded me of a Diablo 1 clone with a better story, graphics and more fun. It is historically based on mythology and has replay ability when you try the different class combinations. If you haven't tried this title do yourself a favor. This is a can't miss RPG classic. They got the challenge rating just right, you will not walk through this game on your first try. I have replayed some battles dozens of times for the fun and challenge. The only issue I had were that some of the final boss battles were unbeatable but that may have been tweaked in this version.

Hearts of Iron II: Complete

A MUST play and all Time GREAT game

Cannot say enough good things about this game and have recommended it to dozens of friends. I love games of all sorts, have played most and consider HOI2 one of the top games I've ever played. It is a bit daunting to start, the tutorial is okay and the scenarios are challenging. The depth of game play hooked me and kept me coming back again and again, year after year. Play any country you want during WW2. This game gives you flexibility and you can rewrite the outcome of WW2. This is the greatest WW2 simulation game I have ever played. So many great memories of managing closely fought battles. The first time you play through the Germany vs Soviet fight WOW, just WOW. It was awesome, huge, close and had such meaning. Another thing I loved about HOI2 was the amazing modding community. If you have played through the game several times you can try a community MOD or alter the game yourself. I ended up lightly modding the game to suit my tastes and you can to (I'm not a programmer). I just wish Paradox would release a similar game with random map capabilities. The game mechanics are good and once you are familiar with them the game flows well. You can speed through years while at peace and slow it right down or pause when in a close fight. Buy this game and play it.
