4 stars because despite the story and the quality of the game being astosnishing for the time, the puzzles and clues to solving them can be very ill-designed at times. You have to be in certain rooms or settings to use or discuss items with the NPCs for them to activate. And there is no clear indication why that is necessary for the plot's purpose. But overall, I'm glad to have finally experienced a rich story that was originally supposed to be made as a movie by Steven Spielberg.
