"Honestly, the original Diablo is still the best in the series. The atmosphere, the horror vibe, the inverted crosses, the constant feeling of demonic presence — it's unmatched. The quests were solid, the combat and spells felt raw and intense, and the whole setting — the cathedral, the village — just oozed dark, gothic perfection. Diablo II: LoD was great, and the Hellfire expansion had its charm, but nothing beats the sheer mood and immersion of the first Diablo. Everything just clicks."
