This seems to be the direct sequel to Shadowgate that takes place shortly after the first game. It seems to be just built on the license of the same name, because the true sequel from the original developers is called Beyond Shadowgate. That game had the same type of gameplay and sound of the original NES game, they even added chiptune music to that game, This however was very different, it's more like mediocre adventure game, missing the suspense of both the original game and Beyond Shadowgate. Something that made the OG game so special, was the technical limitations, so you had to add a bit of your own imagination to the game. This just feels flat and dull in comparison.
This is the game i have been waiting for since i played the original back on the NES. Both the graphics and soundtrack is awesome, it feels like it could have been a real release back in the day. It got that creepy and suspense setting like it's prequel, highly recommended!
