Syberia

Slow, nice graphics, but....

Pro: - nice setting, steampunk optics - fine graphics - slow gameplay Con: - illogical puzzels - non linear plot, with non linear content, so you have to double check everything and every room I installed Syberia without any problems, the game starts up well and works fine. I played it with great enthusiasm for nearly three hours and then came the breakdown. You start in a little european village with a really nice steampunk graphics. Although the stories plays in the 2000s you feel like being part of a 1890s story. The beginning is easy and you can easily follow the plot. But after a while you have different options, where to go. My problem was, that I at first inspected the factory, an I did it in detail and solved any puzzle I found. After that I went to the family house, and the story then led me back to the factory, and now without doing anything special new puzzels appeared. There were new things in rooms I have inspected before, things that were not there before. I had to check everything twice. That irritated me and I was not sure, if I had to check all the places, where I have been before again. So I stopped playing. I cannot recommend that game.
