I am really late to this review, despite buying it at launch. CD Projekt Red often makes beautiful games with detailed stories, plot, and decent game play. Cyberpunk 2077 accomplishes ALL of that. Replayability is high, and it's so easy to get immersed in the world, seeing it from all the angles. If you like FPS format RPG's, you won't find many better (any?) than this one.
For a Visual Novel, I have to admit that this was rather refreshing. There is adult content, but that isn't the piont of the novel, it's a value added part of the story. It makes the sex and erotic scenes have greater impact in the story telling. The artwork for the majority of the scenes have a rustic painted feel to it, and the people are made with normal proportions. Overall, very engaing and interesting - the story is not overall a happy one. Your character is not heroic or evil - just a person in between. Your choices do affect some outcomes. You can also die from bad choices - I recommend saving a lot (which is easy)
for a DnD 5E like Table top feel, this is the game that will scratch that itch. The production values aren't like Baldurs gate 3, but the conversations with the characters are very much like you would hear around a table. the game play is smooth, the story easy to follow, with lots of variability. Absolutely recommend - especially with all of the DLC.
