Definetely worthy of a playthrough, a timeless PC classic.
While I was born almost a decade after this game was released, playing it now, years later, I can truly understand what the community would deem as one of the best ever made. Id's of course famous for making the orginal FPS masterpiece, DOOM, but here is a refined, state-of-the-art masterpiece. In my opinion, Quake is everything DOOM wanted to, but could never be. The horror is real in this game. The graphics were, I believe, for the time, astronomicaally great. The 3-dimensional change adds a new layer of undiscovered potential. As I play this game, I try to cherish it, to enjoy it and have a mindset like those I am following from over 3 decades ago. In essence, its one of ther best games ever made.
