You wake up one day, after a mysterious event which took away all your fellow villagers. Without the proper intro, you will try to figure out the story, mostly by listening types. The game has great atmosphere, beautiful graphics and I found it fun to play. Some puzzles and mechanic will be repeated, I guessed, due to limited budget. Combat is the one aria I found more annoying than fun. Generally, I would prefer that this game was more an adventure than survival horror. The ending of the game unfortunately won't resolve the story, and you will be left with more questions than answers.
This may be the worst Sherlock Holmes game I have ever played, but it works flawlessly on Linux using Proton. It has the main story of the Sherlock and his mother is fine, but this games tries so hard to be an open world game and fails in every aspect of it. Open world is unpolished, it looks like a game from 15 years ago. And yet, you can purchase different furniture for your mansion, without any purpose. There isn't much more to do in the open world. There are "chemical analysis" mini-games, they are at the kindergarteners level. And to end it all, UX in this game is just awful. You can't select conversation options with the keyboard, you can't select the clues with the mouse, and the worst of the all, you can't pause the game mid-conversation.
To take so anticlimactic mechanics like typing and create fun game around it is utterly impressive, The game is beautiful, interesting and fun to play. Only missing thing is some penalty for mistyping words, because now sometimes you can cheat by hitting random keys. I recommend this game to all fans of indie games, even if your goal isn't to improve your typing.
Dystopian future, limitless inspiration for games, movies and books. This game has more in common with movies than with other games. Gameplay is strongly focused on story. To me, it seams like they were strongly inspired by Dreamfall, in both story and game mood. If you want a proper adventure game with puzzles look for something else. Only playable parts of game are mini-games, which I would say are also the worst part of this game. They aren't much fun and do not make any sense. Also controls are a bit awkward.
