I had a blast, even when it was challenging. The lack of a map sometimes sucks. Could be so much more, but I'm very happy it exists. It's better than Butcher in many ways imo, which was made by the same devs.
- I ended up giving up at some point bc I was spending too much time on the cult, never going out crusading. I might have ADHD, tho, so it's not that the game is bad, it just really didn't work for me. BUT I'd like to return! - I like this game! Unlike Binding of Isaac and Don't Starve. NEGATIVES - Cared too much about the cult members and cult. - Time moving too fast for me in-game. - Possibly some bugs. - Some horror and scary elements that made my sensitive brain go uhhhh - It was too easy doing upgrades and not being able to progress at the same time POSITIVE + GREAT soundtrack! + Good humor + Nice "story" elements + Good controls, UI, and UX for even PS ctrl and ctrl icon support iirc + Cute characters + An interesting minigame + Not too difficult in a way, does have easy normal hard and hard+ + Not too bad combat and roguelite aspects.
Such a great experience. I played this on switch in bed at release, but can't wait to buy here. It was challenging in the perfect way for me. Not punishing, not stressful. Wholesome, cute, fun. Really hope devs create more like this!
