Its a relatively short game. Take your time and check out all the side quests. No need to reach the summit immediately. I do hope there is more to this game. If not, I look forward to the dev's next game!
I bought it as I was interested in the exploration and seeing the cool cause and effect actions in the videos. I just finished playing a couple of hours with my favorite FPS RPG-lite game and thought, let's check out the new game in my queue. I install it, plug in my controller and hit Play. It was supposed to be a 30 minute looksee. I had to tear myself away from the controller after playing 4.5 hours. The environment is great. The animations were fun particularly when you hit the final button and this cascade of levers, cogs and lands start moving and spinning. Boy that was mesmerizing to watch. Even the harmless sprites and the wind trying to tell you to step away from the ledge. The only time I was frustrated was when I tried to figure out how to reach a certain set of stairs that was way too high above my character. I spent about 20 minutes going back and forth until I looked it up and slapped my forehead as to what the solution was. Even then, that was still fun to figure out. I had to stop using my KB+M though as I felt I was clumsy trying to jump on another ledge. Thank you Runic for a wonderful game. I look forward to playing this with my kids and seeing the same look of delight on their faces mirror mine from a quick looksee.
